Overview 

Each of the six (6) hours in this course will provide discussion and demonstration of adjustive techniques, centered on different area of lower extremity.

Adjustive techniques will include:

  • manual manipulation;
  • drop assist; and
  • spring loaded impact tool.

Techniques are demonstrated as they relate to the biomechanical kinetic chain of the lower extremity.

Hour Topic
1 Introduction: Normal human motion as a Tensegrity Field of kinematic chains and how the body survives by guided sacrifice of tissues and function.  Discuss and demonstrate adjustive techniques for the Ankle Mortise and Talus.
2 Discuss and demonstrate adjustive techniques for the Calcaneus and Navicular.
3 Discuss and demonstrate adjustive techniques for the Cuboid and Cuneiforms.
4 Discuss and demonstrate adjustive techniques for the Tarsometatarsal–“Lisfranc” articulation and Metatarsophalangeal joints.
5 Discuss and demonstrate adjustive techniques for the Proximal Tibia and Fibula, Patella and Meniscus.
6 Discuss and demonstrate adjustive techniques for the Hip.
Conclusion: Normal mammal gait vs. traumatic modern human gait.
