As a health care provider and an educator, Dr. Thompson utilizes cutting edge principles and applications of chiropractic, Active Release Techniques and progressive rehabilitation. He continues to engage in modernizing physical medicine techniques through work on his soon to be released "Body Mantras: Posture as the Best Exercise."

Mark Thompson, BFA, MA, DC, CCSP, CSCS, ART

A 1991 graduate of Life West, Dr. Thompson teaches in the Diagnosis and Anatomy departments at Life West. He is a certified chiropractic sports physician (CCSP) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). Credentialed as an Active Release Techniques® provider, he specializes in all manners of soft tissue and repetitive strain injuries both of the spine and the extremities. Dr. Thompson practiced in San Francisco, where he specialized in soft tissue and repetitive strain injuries of both the spine and the extremities.

In addition, Dr. Thompson contributes to continuing education programs for health care providers, centered on human anatomy and cadaver dissection. He has served as a continuing education provider for Life West college, the American College of Sports Medicine, American Council on Exercise and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Presently, Dr. Thompson is working towards a PhD in Physical Anthropology and Archaeology through the University of California, East Bay.
