Biography
Henry Wang is executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Herbalife. In this role, Mr. Wang leads Herbalife’s global legal operation, privacy program and corporate secretary work, as well as various global legal operational and strategic initiatives to help position Herbalife as the premier global nutrition company.
In addition to the legal function, he oversees the Worldwide Member Business Practice and Compliance function, which helps guide the millions of Herbalife Independent Distributors around the world to comply with company rules and legal regulations through effective training and monitoring initiatives, including our ongoing compliance with the consent order reached with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
Mr. Wang joined Herbalife from the law firm of Lee, Tran, Liang and Wang LLP. Prior to that, he was a partner at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP, and Reed Smith LLP. While in private practice, he represented U.S. and international companies in U.S. federal and state courts on a wide array of legal issues, including contract disputes, unfair competition laws, employment/human resources issues, trade secrets, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. Beyond the courtroom, Mr. Wang regularly advised and counseled his global clientele on legal and strategic issues.
Mr. Wang holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School. He served on the boards of the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association, the Asian Business League of Southern California and the Asian Pacific Community Fund.
